Before any builder can accurately quote for projects they will require plans drawing up as well as Planning and building Control approvals. Hilltop provides drawn plans and documentation for Planning, Building Control determination and construction. All types of work undertaken. The majority of drawing work is now done in 3D coloured modelling. This greatly helps the client's perception of the proposed construction project. Hilltop is covered by indemnity and public liability insurance.

About Hilltop

I first opened for business in 2002 for planning and design services, and have been serving local and surrounding areas, and at times further afield within the UK. I previously worked for 20 years in the construction industry where a practical, logical and hands-on approach provided the required skills to further my development into architectural drafting.

I provide a personal service where I visit your site and talk through the project with you. I will then provide a written emailed quotation for your review. Once engaged on any project I will then further visit the site to take site measurements and other survey information to draw up an accurate set of drawings for your review. ( This surveying service is not a remote service where accuracy can not be confirmed, although it is possible to do so if required.)

Once I have client approval on the drawings I will then submit to planning and building control bodies for approval. There are various options along the way which I will explain further during the process. I will always try to make this application process as straightforward as possible, however, dealing with planning sometimes ( a minority of cases) can complicate matters. I am here to help with any complications.

I generally get the majority of work from word of mouth and not through this site. I will always respond to any shortlisting made.

A curtesy word on Loft conversions.

I hope this is of help to those of you looking for loft conversions and wonder why they do not get any replies.

Due to the questionable feasibility of loft conversions, it is no longer practical for me to view this type of construction. Many loft conversions are not feasible to construct. So for me and I would guess others to pay for a leed and have to advise, it is impractical or would be out of the budget scope does not make commercial sense. If you would like me to view such proposals, then I would be happy to do so directly but unfortunately not through MyBuilder. It is probably the reason why loft conversions on this site do not get much response.
