I had a kitchen order on standby with Wickes pending finding a good fitter. I advertised the job on here and Lucian expressed an interest in quoting for it. We met and I was impressed with his expertise. He emailed me his quote which I accepted. We agreed that he would do the job. So I went ahead and placed the order with Wickes and I was given a delivery date 16 Nov. I emailed the kitchen drawings and measurements to Lucian so he could have a look at them and I also had a few questions I wanted clarified before the work started; I got no reply. I called him, no reply and left a message, no call back. I started panicking! I remember him saying when we met that he was expecting a big job which hadn't materialised and that he would be happy to begin work on my kitchen so I can only imagine that the big job got offered to him and I was left hanging in limbo without so much as a courtesy email so I can look for someone else or to even be professional and take my call and tell me in person. So with delivery of my kitchen in 20 days time, I hope I can find someone else who can fit me in but it gets quite tough leading up to Christmas as everyone gets busy. It's a shame because I had a lot of other jobs for Lucian and I was happy that I had found a good builder but alas I was taken in. He told me that gets most of his jobs thru word of mouth and not from this website so that explains why he only has 10 reviews. Hire him by all means but he's not a man of his word I would say.
