Sean works to a fixed price model and provides a really detailed breakdown of what’s in and out of scope. Sean helped with everything. Detailed architectural drawings, building regs, structural diagrams, the building inspector, every single tradesperson required, plus the new kitchen, all appliances, and LVT flooring; all through Sean as a single point of contact.
We can’t speak more highly of each tradesperson involved in the build. Each person was a complete professional, polite and friendly. The quality of their work is exemplary. When something went wrong Sean and Project Manager Tim were on it straight away and resolved without any faff. Throughout the project the communication flowed and we were kept informed of what was happening, when it would happen, and who would be involved. The guys worked tirelessly and when there was a slight delay, it was due to hiccups in the supply of a materials or something out of their control. We didn’t need to move out of the house, just make some changes to cope without having a kitchen for a few weeks. The house was secured through every phase of the project.
We’re over the moon with our new extension and kitchen. What could have been a really stressful few months passed really quickly thanks to Sean and his team.

Sean is an extremely personable and knowledgable guy. He has gone above and beyond in terms of fantastic communications from initial discussions in terms of our plans over the phone, then in person at our property. Extensive explanation was provided in terms of all of the work he and his team would do if we were to go ahead. The realistic costings with a payment plan breakdown, what would be included etc, so we'd know all upfront costs from the get-go. We could not have asked for more really.

Unfortunately we have decided against having the work done. The only reason being that the work required is beyond our budget expectations at this moment in time. If we do change our minds in the future we will be contacting Sean again without hesitation.

Sean Higgins is the perfect answer to anyone wishing to start a building project, particularly if your technical knowledge is limited. He has the most straightforward approach that you could wish for and presents all the information in a simple and easily understood way. He listens to all your requirements and concerns and explains how the work will be done in great detail. Although I had 28 years previous experience in construction, I realised I was out of touch and was worried that I could be out of my depth in taking on this project. He allayed my fears and made myself and my wife confident of an easy passage. He quotes a FIXED price, no extras or unforseen circumstances to come later. A detailed schedule for the work with start and finish dates and a staged payment plan are also included. He is personable and a good communicator and if you need a builder in whom you can have a good relationship and complete trust, I would recommend him to anyone without a second thought.
