About hemis

My name is Daniel Brown and I have been a builder since 1974. I was trained as a plasterer and I have learnt bricklaying and roofing. My first 'main' project was in 1978 to build an extension and I prepared my own drawings and since that time I have progressed through college to become a qualified structural-engineer and architectural-technologist as well as a builder. I employ skilled labourers and qualified tradesmen so I am able to offer a complete design and build service.

Although I have built a number of houses, including the design and construction of two 'eco' houses in Kent, my main projects include the construction of extensions and the conversion and alteration of existing buildings, particularly Victorian and Edwardian town-houses. I am particularly keen to undertake small projects that need to be completed quickly.

In addition to offering a full construction service, I am able to prepare all drawings, structural calculations and reports for planning and building-control approval. I have experience with flood-risk assessments, design statements and the Code for Sustainable Homes (BREEAM). I am to prepare SAP reports and Access statements..

If you need any construction work undertaken or a set of detailed construction drawings, please arrange an appointment with hemis. All estimates are free.
