We are experienced in providing advice and undertaking stonework repairs, lime mortar pointing, lime renders, masonry, stone consolidation and stone cleaning. We have worked for many years in the conservation field undertaking restoration works for both individual clients and commissions.
About Gorgon Stone Conservation
Based in Somerset, Gorgon Stone Conservation specialises in the conservation and repair of historic buildings, sculptures and ceramics.
Sam has history in art and has been working in conservation for over 15 years gaining experience working with various conservation companies. Gosia graduated in Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art and has full qualifications in the field of restoration of stone sculpture and elements of architecture. This includes restoration of ceramics, stucco, mosaic, objects made of plaster, use of traditional lime mortars, consolidation, and various cleaning techniques. She has taken part in restoration work in Poland, Ukraine, Turkmenistan and Great Britain working in places such as Buckingham palace, Windsor Castle and Westminster Abbey. Combining sculptural skills and her education as a restorer of art works she can undertake restoration of historic objects and reconstruction on the basis of archives.
