    When I first hired Marius to do my loft I was very nervous however I looked at the reviews met him and thought lets go with it. Marius and his team are professional, friendly, tidy and he kept me updated all the time. Its so nice to hire a builder who is not a cowboy, no nonsense and gets the job done. I was really impressed in the time they finished the job which was earlier than expected even my neighbours were commenting on how quickly they finished. I just want to say thank you Marius and the team and look forward to working on more of my projects in the near future.

  • Single story rear extension in Tooting London

    Go Gondolier constructed our single storey rear extension and made substantial internal changes including installation of our kitchen and bathroom.

    Simon and his team promised to complete all works within 6 weeks which was half the time we were quoted by all other contractors we spoke to. We were amazed when he met this deadline and we were very impressed with the standard of his work too.

    Simon was always incredibly quick to respond to calls and texts which saved us tons of stress throughout the build. He also kept our neighbour's onside throughout the process which was a huge plus.

    His straightforward and direct approach is exactly what we were after and it meant that decision were made very quickly.

    Was very happy with the work - single storey extension. Was quoted 5 to 6 weeks to build and it was built in 3.5 weeks. They worked late many times and all of the team were good to deal with. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the result. Would definitely recommend.

    Simon and his guys did a very good job on our quite complicated loft extension in an incredibly quick time to an excellent standard. Overall we are very happy with the job he did but the down side to the speed that Simon expected the job to be completed in was that he was very inflexible to any alterations at all once something was done (even when they weren't done as per drawings supplied.) I would recommend gogondolier as Simon demands a high standard from his team, but make sure you're ready with exact layout details, bathroom equipment and important decisions at a moment's notice!

  • Single storey 3m extension on our 1920s home

    Simon & his team built us a new kitchen-diner, utility, wc & patio. We won't be the first to marvel when Simon quoted us a 6 wk build time (all others quoting min. 12 wks for same price). Naturally, he completed it even quicker.

    The pace Simon & his team work & the quality of his workmanship are remarkable - but it is these guys' work ethic that really blew us away.

    Simon provided a quote early, arrived on time to initial meetings & during build he & his team (up to 8 guys) would be started by 8.20. He was always at the end of the phone in case of query - even post-build, when we had a glitch with a radiator - someone was with us to sort it within an hour.

    One warning - whilst Go Gondolier works incredibly quickly, a lot of suppliers don't! We're still waiting on our bi-folds & it was touch-&-go that our flooring would arrive in time. So - be prepared. There are no checklists for a 6 week build so make sure you've thought everything out beforehand (including lighting etc) as you'll need fast turnarounds on decisions. That said, it was well worth it in the end :)

    I shared our build progress on Social Media as we went along & friends were absolutely astounded at the rate of progress - we are no experts in the build trade, but are now convinced we got incredibly lucky with Go Gondolier. Our resulting extension is beautifully built & better than we ever imagined.

    We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Simon & his team (so long as you don't need him when we do!).

    Simon & his team have done a rear extension & loft conversion for us. The work has been carried out to a high standard and was completed ahead of schedule. Simon has been professional throughout and we had a very positive working relationship. He gave us good advice & suggestions throughout the project which improved on the plans from our architect. He also listened to our ideas and was always willing to add in extra bespoke details, for example, a bar in our kitchen based off a Pinterest picture. His team are all polite & hard working. Overall a very positive experience!

    Once again Simon did a great job.
    Best thing about working with Simon is that he sticks to deadlines unlike a lot of other builders I've worked with and the quality is very good.

    We had a few issues on the build but we quickly managed to resolve them.

    We used Simon and Go Gondolier to carry out fairly extensive renovations – extending our loft, removing an internal wall, swapping two rooms around and installing a new kitchen, along with completing a general renovation work – installing new bathrooms, new floors, replastering etc etc. This is our first building project and it was great to have a professional who clearly has knowledge and experience. We were extremely happy with their work – they worked exceptionally efficiently and completed the job in the time frame they initially committed to. Throughout the process, Simon was always on the other end of the phone. We have no hesitation in recommending them for building work, and would be happy for potential clients to ask Simon for my details to speak to me and look at our property.

    Recently finished Loft conversion that Go Gondolier completed in SW19. Great finish all the works were completed a week earlier than planned from start to finish 6 weeks which is far quicker than others quoted!

    Simons team were all tidy, polite and hard working. Would highly recommend them for any builders works, decorating, plastering etc.

    Simon was extremely efficient in the way his team go about the work. He completed the extension in under 5 weeks (whereas others were quoting 3 months). The speed at which his team go is by no means to the detriment of the quality of the build. Undertook variations to the build during the course of works and didn't try to rip me off on costs for these. Would HIGHLY recommend to all!!!!

    We hired Goal gondolier to do our hip to Gable loft conversion. We are very happy with the finished job and couldn’t recommend go gondolier highly enough.The job was done to a very high standard, Simon promised to finish within six weeks and he finished early which also included decoration as a favour that wasn’t in the original quote.
    Simon is a very nice guy and very honest and his team are very pleasant, they work very hard and they were work very long hours. They are also very tidy and cleaned up every day.
    Simon is the best builder I have ever worked with and will be sure to hire him to do our kitchen extension.
    Payment terms are also very fair, weekly payments as opposed to other competitors that charged a large amount upfront.
    Simon has a very keen eye for detail and Advised us on improvements on the original drawings done by the architect which made a big difference to the finish.
    His communication skills are also excellent, he always picks up his phone and always responds to emails the same day.
    We are absolutely delighted with our loft conversion and can’t recommend go gondolier highly enough.

    I had originally overlooked this company, as I was looking at builders with a minimum of 100 positive feedback. I then came across them on the Federation of Master Builders, so decided to invite them to quote. From my first meeting with Simon his honesty and experience was apparent and decided to hire Go Gondolier Ltd for this job.

    The work was originally estimates to take 14 working days it was completed in just 10 days! Simon and his team worked long days and weekends to get the job completed ahead of time. He was a great project manager and a pleasure to deal with. They always left the place clean and tidy.

    As with all building work there were hiccups along the way (wrong toilet delivered), which meant Simon had to come back and finish the job. Simon was true to his words and came back!

    In my opinion, Simon's unique selling point is his attention to detail and high standards. He thought of all the little details that I had missed on my schedule of work. He puts himself in the clients position and thinks of what they need.

    I am really pleased with the standard of work and will definitely be getting Simon back to do the kitchen and any future projects that I may have.

    We contacted Simon about taking over our loft conversion after being let down by a builder who in 2 months had only just begun to lay the joists.
    We are more than pleased with the rapid transformation of our old loft space into two new rooms and beautifully tiled bathroom in just six weeks by Simon and his hardworking team.
    They accomplished this by putting in long days, often 8-6, working solidly in all weathers and with minimal disruption to our household.
    The builders were polite and considerate and tidied up well at the end of each day.
    Simon was happy to accomodate several additions and alterations as the build progressed.
    We've been impressed with the standard of work and all done within a very reasonable budget.
    We'd readily recommend Go Gondolier to anyone planning on doing a loft conversion, or doing other building works.

    Simon has done a great job - done effectively a full ground renovation in just under 10 weeks as agreed. We now have a new extension with new floor, kitchen, underfloor heating etc, and also the garage conversion has been completed giving us some smart new rooms and some breathing space!

    We have since hired him again to do the cladding on the front of the house and would recommend him.

    Simon and his team were hired to replace a ceiling, plaster the walls, add spotlights and new electric sockets in our bedroom. We added a few things last minute and they were happy to accommodate us. They were professional and easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend them and will hire them again when we're ready to refurbish the master bedroom.

    arriving early in the morning and leaving sometimes after 6 pm .the loft was completed in half the time that we expected .
    they left the site tidy every day , built the loft exactly to plan , and any snagging was dealt with .

    Simon and his team carried out a full kitchen extension for me, including removing the rear structural wall, installing a new downstairs WC, new stud wall and full floor and kitchen installation. They were good value (not the cheapest, not the most expensive); did a good job; and worked very hard to complete the build in the shortest time-frame possible (6 weeks all in, including kitchen fitting).

    Any changes were discussed before they went ahead and they brought some good ideas to the table too.

    I would be happy to recommend Simon and his team and happy to send through photos of the build as it progressed to anyone who is interested.

    I hired Marius and his team to carry out my two storey extension, I can honestly say these are the best builders I have come across. From the minute I met him and he gave me my initial quote which was very reasonable I knew I would hire him. From the start to finish I was totally at ease. I never had any delays, they showed up when they said they would and on time everytime. Their work rate is second to none aswell I had quotes saying it would take 12-14 weeks from other builders whereas Marius completed mine in 8 weeks even though I added a couple of other improvements while the job was ongoing. My friends in the trade were gobsmacked how quick they were. All in all I wouldn't have any doubts about employing them to carry out any building work for me in the future.

  • Skirting board and door frame removal and replacement

    The skirting boards were replaced but some corners were not at right angles. The guys faffed about removing two doors but never actually did anything with the door frames while still having the confidence to ask for half of the door frame fee. £40 to remove two doors (which I could have done myself )is a rip off.
    The skirting boards were done to a satisfactory level and the price was good.

    Part of the job - bathroom resealing - didn't last. This is despite having to ask them to come over second time and them applying much thicker layer of sealant. We mentioned that it might be better to remove old sealant before applying the new, but were reassured that shouldn't matter. We'll be asking someone else to re-do it.

    My job consisted of re-painting the bathroom, changing the tiles, and fitting new accessories around the bath. Everything was done so well that I can't think of anything bad to say. All tradesmen should work this way: turn up on time, take tremendous care to leave your home clean and tidy, be polite and friendly at every moment, do everything exactly as agreed, and complete the job to a very high standard. I'd be happy to recommend this tradesman to anyone.

    Simon and his team were absolutely brilliant from the moment we met and talked about the his, to the very end . His time keeping was impeccable the whole way through the job - when he said he was going to be here, he was here on the dot! His workmanship was first class and he cut absolutely no corners in getting the job done to the highest quality. Bearing in mind his price was very competitive I was really impressed (and so grateful) for his care and high expectations. They were so clean and tidy that when I came home it was extremely difficult to know they had even been there. I cannot recommend Simon highly enough - I have already asked him to do some more work for me! You will be in very good hands!
