Duley Building Services Ltd are a building company based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. We offer a complete building service, specialising in home extensions, alterations, groundwork’s and landscaping but we cover all aspects of building. We pride ourselves with keeping our work to the highest standards. We work very closely with building control. We are also fully insured.     I can’t speak highly enough of Oli, who runs Duley buildings services, along with Paul, his colleague and the trades he used the complete the project.
    On the profile it shows negative feedback, so I was curious and checked them out on checkatrade, which shows excellent feedback.
    Oli was very open about the previous feedback, his explanation of that and my experience in employing him is the opposite, so I would urge anyone to speak to Oli about this before discounting him.
    From first contact to last Oli did exactly what he said he would, always arrived on time and explained what he would be doing.
    Once they started work both Oli and Paul were a breath of fresh, Polite, friendly and courteous. They were very tidy, cleaning up each day.
    I initially asked for a path and patio, which wasn’t simple and looks great, and, on discovering his main work is building extensions, I employed him to remove a supporting wall, which again was a tricky piece of work, finished to the highest standard.
    I fully recommend DBS and have already arranged for him to complete, other, overdue tasks, although he is understandably, extremely busy, he is worth waiting for. Cheers Oli & Paul.

  • Boundary wall rebuild following accident.

    Seemed honest and trustworthy at first. Built wall to satisfaction but left half a ton of sand on the roadside which killed my front lawn. Failed to backfill the wall with soil.

    Undertook stable re-roof replacement. Had roof sheets delivered onto my lawn area and delayed the start of the job thereby killing the kawn. Only part completed the job over several days as working on multiple jobs. Consequently, I spent several hours loading the skip myself to prevent my dogs from eating rubbish and to save time. The guttering was unfinished and an outhouse a the end of the stables was not done. This was an add on the job and I can understand it was not scheduled in but he still failed to come when he said he would. Instead, going on a "much needed holiday abroad" Contacted on multiple occasions via phone, email and my Builder with no luck. Received message to say he was on holiday after leaving him several messages including via a friend of his.

    All messages ignored, on one occasion a friend answered his phone and was verbally abusive.

    He also ordered the wrong number of roofing sheets so work could not be completed. Failed to provide order details so I could order myself and get another builder to carry out the work.

    During the time he spent here he was constantly on his phone which was not very professional.

    I am very disappointed. I have given him two months before placing this negative review to give him every chance to respond.

    This review is simply not true. There was a big mis understanding at the end of the job about more work to be done that was not included in the original job. We are a very busy company and could not fit the remaining extra jobs in the last minute time scale the customer requested, which was fed back to the customer which they took very badly. The high standard of work was met through out the whole job and this is not an accurate review of the work completed at all. These types of false reviews by customers are very detrimental to businesses but we will not let it effect us and the way we trade. We are proud of what we do and the standards we adhere to.
