About DRM Building

I started labouring at 16 years old. I was an employee labourer for about 3 years and then served my apprenticeship with a very well established firm in the Rock and Polzeath area. I qualified with a distinction on my final exam, then I became self employed and was a sub contractor for a few companies over the years picking up a lot of good experience and knowledge, not just in masonry but also in roofing and carpentry.Since qualifying I have done a lot of block work, brick work, plastering/rendering and paving, after learning the main skill set I have advanced to reading plans and setting out buildings. In the last two years I became a working foreman running a site on a new build in St. Mawes Cornwall, it was slightly different to the norm for me, undertaking the pressure and the responsibility of others and to hit all the targets on time. It proved very good and I felt very comfortable in that position. After that job I took on a big refurb in Hampstead London, which also went very well. I have worked along side architects and direct with the clients and I see myself as a very versatile person to produce a product on good time and to a high standard. My business is my life. I take a lot of pride in my work from re plastering a wall to building a new house.
