    Having posted my job for the removal of a chimney, re-felt batten and tile David called the same day to arrange a visit for quote. David turned up at the advised time where we ran through the job and spotted a couple of additional items, which were to be included. David provided a competitive quote via email and advised on availability. Once instructed, with a few days notice, they turned up on time as advised. The job was completed within a day as estimated. I requested to keep the rubble, but the rest of the job was left tidy and rubble was located as agreed. David provided clear and concise communication from the start and good advice on what was required. I'll certainly use DC & Sons again for future projects.

    Rate 9/10 I would highly recommend this company. Prompt reply to my request on MyBuilder then the first to look at the job. An estimate on the spot and later followed up with a quote via email. The job price was reasonable and fair. We set a date for the works which the company kept to. They arrived in good time, got on with the works as well as working around me. At the end of the job they had cleared up after themselves and I had found them to be polite and courteous. On request they returned to help with snagging, again at an agreed date and time. There was no fault in the original job! Customer contact was good, there was one person to keep contact through via t/p or email. I am also very pleased with My Builder website, I got a good response to my request and saw 6 different companies prior to making a decision.

    David was punctual, polite and courteous throughout and was always keen to ensure I was happy with progress and with the quality of the work. In addition to replacing the guttering, etc., the scope was expanded to include painting all external windows, gables and the front door. Mine is an older property and as is always the way, once work started it became clear there a number of issues with the roof that needed to be addressed, such as a patch of woodworm in the rafter ends, missing or broken slates and the sound advice that the ridge tiles on the roof needed to be re-seated. David's quotes to carry out the additional work were more than fair and the work was done extremely well. The team cleared up at the end of each day and very thoroughly at the end of the job. I'm very pleased with the end result.

    D C & Sons replaced our old guttering and soffits to both the rear and front of our property. The Owner came out to conduct the survey and for a follow-up to meet with my wife and me, on both occasions he was punctual, well informed and the passion he has for his business was obvious. His quote was competitive being one of three from five around the same median price point.

    The team arrived on time and were brilliant: the work was carried out to a very high standard and was neat and tidy. The two gentlemen that performed the installation were friendly, polite, easy to work with and the finished job has made a big difference to the look of the property. The time taken was comfortably within that estimated by the Owner.

    We had torrential rain on Boxing Day and the gutter at the back was leaking. My wife called the owner as she was concerned. He came round the very next day and sorted out the problem – this was due to a blocked “Swan Bend” which is the responsibility of a neighbour and nothing whatsoever to do with the installation. She was very grateful for him taking the time to do this at a holiday period. If she had known what the problem was, she would have asked me to deal with it, rather than calling out the owner!!!!

    Initially I was impressed with David's prompt response to arrange a quote on our soffits/facias/guttering, but he went above what other people did by giving good advice on the options available, as well as ensuring I understood every stage of the project. The price was in line with other quotes I received, but I felt comfortable trusting David to undertake the job. Him and his 2 colleagues were very professional, polite and friendly throughout the 4 day project, and they left the site clean and tidy. The job was done to an excellent high standard (and I made sure David knew how much of a fussy perfectionist I was before taking on the job!), and overall I can't have asked for anything else.     DC and Sons, came out to do the work as agreed on the date and time and were very prompt to address all the issues. They also addressed a problem that was not visible during the initial estimate, moving chimney pot, by cementing around the chimney pot (with an additional extra cost of £50 to original estimate) and made it stable. We were very happy with the work that they carried out. I would definitely recommend there services for any one looking for similar work.

I found all the guys to be very friendly, knowledgeable, and honest and therefore I would definitely consider using them again in the future. The guys from DC & Sons arrived on time, completed the work in the agreed time frame (even though the weather wasn't ideal -- cold/windy with odd showers + hail), and they cleaned up afterwards (leaving the place tidier than it was before they arrived).     Dave and his team have done a fantastic job of removing our old and leaky concrete gutters and replacing them with upvc fascia and gutters. When I first met Dave he came across as knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We were quite worried about who we would take on for this job as you hear so many horror stories of cowboys out there that do a sub-standard job. No need to worry with Dave. He gave us our quote and said that we wouldn't hear from him again unless we wanted the work done. He doesn't believe in badgering people for jobs which is another reassuring characteristic of a good tradesman. He and his team arrived on time and completed the work to a very high standard, they took all rubbish away and when we got home it was like they had never been!

    David came on saturday and we discussed about the problem and he came on next Friday and did the job. He cleaned the roof and put some seal near chimney area, cleaned the gutter and fix the tile in a problem area. He also went inside the loft to see the problems and we noticed couple of holes on the roof and he fixed it immediately with some kind of sealant. Very friendly and professional. Hopefully, there will not be any seepage when it rains. I have to wait couple of days to see the result but i'm happy with his professional behaviour and work and hire again if required.

    David came on time, looked at the problem and informed he would fix it after couple of days. He came on time on the day and tried to fix the roof. He then realised the ladder was not long enough to reach the roof area. He then called somebody and arranged for taller ladder. It took him couple of hours but he communicated it clearly. He then came with the new ladder and fixed the roof in 10 minutes. As a proof he took a picture and showed to me.
    It has been few days since the roof was fixed. It has rained but no water is coming inside. Overall quite happy with his service.
