    Some positives. Came to provide quote quickly, price was in par with others. Worked hard when he was here and tried hard to prepare areas for painting. However there are some negatives. He is not a clean worker in terms of leaving the emulsion on paintwork and flooring and not cleaning off, did not tell us had spoilt the new tile tread when he moved washing machine, spoiled the wallpaper he laid. I did not complain about the emulsion all around door frames, flooring and skirts, I just cleaned it myself. I did not mention the spoilt tile tread as he offered to fill in some areas where plaster was not great so I left that. But the wallpapering was not satisfactory at all he had it overlapping on joins, some coming up, some colour off because rubbed it too much. Will end up replacing it soon when we can face it. Worse point was we mentioned not happy with papering especially in one room which was very noticeable and he started shouting and swearing and did become unprofessional. He could see it was not satisfactory. He had some spare could have offered to do it again. The bad joins are quite obvious. My husband deducted £50 just to cover what we had paid for wallpaper in one room, so can do it again, but he wouldn’t accept our comments. Became very unprofessional instead of looking and trying to solve it. I think should be able to offer calm reasonable issues but he did not want to listen.

    Decorator Dave is absolutely amazing, he has papered our hall papered and Landing, painted our bathroom and kitchen, wall papered 2 bedrooms and also painted my stairs.

We were desperate to get back into our house and Dave stripped the walls, relined them, feature walled a wall and then feature walled the chimney breast to match as we didn't like the colour paint we'd picked!     David is an excellent worker who puts in long hours and produces work of the highest standard. He is trustworthy and keen. Because the pub is a public place he had to work out of normal trading hours which meant him starting work as the pub closed at 1am. The area that need painting (including plaster repair) was quite large but was completed to a very good standard and in good time. I think the job was excellent value for money and would not hesitate to recommend Dave. In fact I recommended hem recently to my brother who was very pleased with the quality of work and the reasonable price. Dave is very hard working and an excellent painter and decorator.
