About Cuthberts of Edinburgh Limited
Cuthberts of Edinburgh (owned by Ryan) has been engaged in various refurbishment projects, extensions, and conversions working alongside known associates in relevant trades that can be confidently relied on. This starts from quoting, and collaborating with Councils/structural engineers to working on the project with trusted, highly-skilled tradespeople.
In 2002 Ryan started plastering and roughcasting for a small family-run building company and developed his plastering skills working on privately owned properties.
Ryan gained scaffolding qualifications in Scotland as part of the 'Restoration Scotland' efforts before joining the Royal Marines; deployed across the globe as a helicopter sniper.
In 2014 Ryan returned to working on the tools after securing employment within a Housing Trust in the West Midlands as a multi-skilled Tradesperson, specialising in plastering. This is where Ryan gained qualifications in carpentry, taking up courses in other trades.
Ryan is skilled in plastering (including Venetian plastering) and carpentry and has been engaged in multiple high-value projects including building garden rooms from scratch, as well as full renovations.

Porch rendering Plastering
It was a pleasure to use Ryan on the replacement rendering on our porch. Ryans approach at all times was friendly, reliable and friendly.
I had a lot of confidence in the structured approach to the task. It was completed on time, to plan and cost.
The end product was of high quality and was especially impressed how Ryan respected our property, ensured there was no damage or mess. Every piece of rubbish and waste was efficiently removed from site.
A good job and strongly recommend Ryan.andyarnell_77 - 15th Mar, 2021 Positive review
