About Community treeCycle

Clive Bowman established Community treecycle in 2012. He originally trained as a Landscape Architect and worked in this profession for over 15yrs. Community treeCycle draws on this experience and offers a wide professional service covering garden and landscape design, landscape construction and garden creation works, garden maintenance, tree surgery and woodland management.

Past work includes garden design consultations and plans, lawn turfing and seeding, tree and shrub planting, grass cutting and weeding, fencing, creating garden structures and sculptures, paving, decking, domestic tree surgery, tree/woodland management plans, large scale conifer thinning contracts, tree disease surveys, large tree dismantling, fruit tree pruning and bespoke carved signs and furniture. Clive is trained and insured to deal with wind blow and large trees.

Qualifications

Clive Bowman is the Managing Director of Community treeCycle. He trained and practiced originally as a landscape Architect for 15 yrs, then moved into managing a number of rural community led projects, before setting up his own rural social enterprise in 2012 . All staff have NPTC certificates in chainsaw, tree felling, dealing with large trees and windblow, as well as first-aid. As a social enterprise we assist young people to develop rural and employment skills through volunteering ang grant funded employment schemes. At Community treeCycle we also run the Scottish Woodland Skills Centre, a part of the social enterprise that provides rural skills training and also traditional woodland craft activities and courses.
