About ARCHIWEST architecture & heritage
ARCHIWEST is a Chartered Architectural practice based in Cheddar. We work closely with clients of unique buildings and coordinate projects through to completion, forming links between use, significance, innovation and realisation.
The practice draws on a combined 75 years+ of experience in the industry, involving technically challenging projects to listed buildings, country estates, universities and churches in and around Bristol & Somerset.
Our passion is the adaption and regeneration of existing buildings, whilst balancing sustainability. Every project has a different past and unique challenges in the way it can be altered.
Regulated by RICS and Chartered with the CIAT, we promote and enforce the highest professional standards in the development and management of projects. We have worked with many domestic and commercial clients on renovation projects, barn conversions and extensions, including extensive work at The Newt in Somerset, a Grade II* listed country estate that’s open to the public. Our team collectively has a diverse range of experience at the highest levels.
Luke Weston (Director) has over 15 years experience in the construction industry and has played lead design roles in projects over a range of sectors specialising in heritage projects and works to older unique buildings, country houses, church repair projects and sports facilities.

Architectural services to renovate 1930s semi - Bristol CAD/Drawings
Luke has been brilliant. He surveyed, drew up the plans and proposals for a major refurbishment to a 3-bedroom semi-detached house. He has been very flexible and added extra detail to the drawing – several times as I changed my mind. The plans have been very useful when working with builders and I’ve no doubt that the work Luke put into the proposals has saved me time and money in the long run. I would gladly recommend Luke if you are considering an architect to draw up plans for your work.
