They completed a very challenging job that other electricians had told us wasn't possible - "I like a challenge" said Chris! Chris is a really friendly and helpful guy who is no bother at all to have around the house. He installed various new lighting and wiring throughout our house as well as various other small jobs such as moving switches/sockets that we didn't originally ask for but he did anyway. We needed 2 old outdoor lights and cabling removed and replaced with 3 new, a 2 gang outdoor socket and 2 new double internal sockets installed. Chris did an excellent job with a very professional and neat installation. Would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to others.

He listened to my ideas regarding my kitchen revamp and suggested a much better way to enhance the look of my kitchen with the position of switches and sockets. Chris did an amazing job installing my extractor fan. It was a tricky job involving drilling through a very thick stone wall and Chris did a very professional job. Chris kept me updated prior to the job and was very prompt responding to messages when arranging the job including the quote. On the job itself Chris really knew what he was doing and he left everything clean and tidy (he offered to mop the floor!). I highly recommend Chris and will use him again without hesitation in the future.

Chris came to my house to look at installing an outside light for me, which he advised might be more difficult than I had anticipated. I then decided to park that idea and asked Chris to look at installing spotlights and moving another light fitting in our kitchen. Chris gave us great advice and had an electrician at our house a couple of days later for an agreed price. John installed our lights to a great standard, was really tidy and friendly. Really great service from start to finish. Was able to come and do the initial quote inspection in the evening, so I didn't have to take time off work.
Gave me a very reasonable quote and didn't change it, even when the job had a few surprises and extra bits needed.

Had a new RCD protected fuse box fitted. They can find problems in your house's wiring that the old box couldn't. When I found a socket was tripping the box a few days later, they came out the next day and fixed the fault - no extra charge.

Hired Gary from 2Core to install a new consumer unit , fit outside lights to the front and back of my property also move two wall lights in living room to another wall altogether and install living room ceiling light and replace numerous sockets. I personally would not even look for another electrician as Gary is such a nice guy and he done a very good job and i am well impressed. Also when i got the quote at the beginning of the job i thought I was seeing things, I could not believe how cheap he was as i thought it would be more so thank you again Gary.

Gary and his brother Chris arrived on time and although there were a few extra bits of wiring required and the underground cable required a lot of hard concrete cutting they just got on with it. All the wiring and components were fitted neatly and replaced where necessary to bring the system up to today's regulations. The cost was exactly what was quoted. I would not hesitate to recommend 2 Core Electrics to anybody in the central belt as they do a good job at very reasonable hourly rates and they are willing to travel. Two very pleasant, polite and skilled young men. I wish them continuing success.

Hired 2 Core Electrics for a complete rewire of our property following a series of electrical problems caused by age of wiring in property. Gary and Chris carried out the work within a week arriving at 8.30 each day and not leaving until 20.00 as they preferred to complete each stage of the installation before stopping for the day. Gary and Chris are two very pleasant and friendly guys who consult you about the work being carried out and then get on with the job. At the end of each day they cleaned up and left the house as tidy as possible. Very neat workmanship and I would recommend this company to anyone requiring electrical work on their property.

Gary has done an excellent job fitting our new shower. Wasn't as straight forward as he thought due to the way our old shower had been fitted but he found ways round it and its working perfect.
Great communication at all times on arranging job, he turned up exactly when he said he would, very plesant and well mannered, even my little dog Ellie loved him. He managed to get a shower that fitted exactly over where the old shower was so no missing gaps in tiles, very tidy job. I received outstanding service at an excellent price when I hired 2 Core Electrics to install a new shower. The price I was quoted was highly competitive and I was not charged any additional fee when the job required two visits due to a problem with the water supply to the flat. 2 Core Electrics also supplied the shower at cost price and again charged no additional fee to collect the shower unit. Excellent experience, highly recommended! Given Gary at 2 Core's very reasonable quote we decided to get the hob replaced. Gary kept in regular touch while sourcing the new hob and arranging a time for the work and was always very friendly and helpful. A convenient time was arranged for the job within a few days and Gary was here right on time. Removing the old hob wasn't as straightforward as hoped and the work took a bit longer than expected, but Gary completed the job to an excellent standard, honouring the original quote and we are very pleased with the results. Really hard working guys. Did a full rewrite of my house and even ran some network and coaxial cable that I supplied them. The job over ran by a few days, but Gary, Chris and there even there Dad came in on the weekend and did two 14 hour shift on Friday and Saturday and a full days work on Sunday to make sure it was completed before my plasterer turned up on Monday. Gary responded to my enquiry on this site in about 5 minutes flat and left me some advice about what he felt the correct solution would be and how much it would cost. He then phoned me as soon as I shortlisted him and arranged a time to do the job the very next day. He kept me informed of when he would arrive and did the job very well, tidying up after himself and not minding when my 3 year old nephew wanted to come and watch him. I'm really happy with my experience of 2 core. Gary phoned me up to talk about the job and asked me to send him some photos so he could see what our fusebox looked like before he quoted. Chris came and did the work. He turned up on time, was pleasant, thought about what he was doing and considered the best options for us, not the easiest one for him. We had decorators in at the same time and he worked well with them, coming in early when the power needed to be switched off so as not to impact on what they were doing. He did a very tidy job, causing as little damage to the walls and skirting as possible and tidied up well after he'd finished. In all, 2 core seemed to really care about doing a good job and I would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to friends.

Job advertised Monday. Gary was round on Tuesday to see what needed doing. Completed Friday. Overall I'm happy with work and price.

Called Gary when British Gas let me down, he turned up the same day and explained that wiring in my main fuse box coming from the main feed looked wrong. He phoned Scottish Power to them know that there was a dangerous situation with their earth. This started the ball rolling, an engineer turned up within 2 hours then overhead linesman arrived 1 hour later. Problem rectified within 6hrs of Gary making contact. Although he didnt carry out any physical work his advice and chasing up Scottish Power has earned him utmost respect within my family. More tradesman like Gary would make life a hell of a lot more easier. Thanks again.

Gary came out to do an initial assessment of the work that needed to be done free of charge. He took the time to thoroughly check all the parts before making the recommendation of new elements and he showed us the damage to the old ones explaining why they werent working properly. He also gave us some information and a DVD about a new electrical heating system that we could consider in the future. He gave us a quote for the parts and labor and was back within the week to do the work for us.

Our heater still wasnt working properly so we gave Gary a call and he was back the next day to take another look (no charge) and it just turned out to be a fuse which he fixed.

It's a sign of a good tradesman when, having only been given an abstract description of a particular problem, already has some clever ideas of how to solve it. Gary, of '2-Core Electrics' isn't just a good electrician, he's a a great electrician. He thoroughly considered the problems that were causing our lights to fail and having only been at the property for an hour, already had a firm grasp of our electrical system - the good parts of it, and bad! Our now dark and depressing stairwell is now bright and airy again AND we ended up finding out some serious flaws in the hallway lighting systems original design that had plagued us with issues for over 7 years. Now, thanks to Gary, they were solved in one morning! Gary is friendly to talk to, interesting and honest which made us feel we were getting more than the average 'spark' and when my Mother mentioned that certain lights were now TOO bright, he swapped them over to high-efficiency LED technology bulbs which give a pleasant and soft light, not to mention the pounds we will now save in long term running costs!

I needed a bathroom extractor fan fitted to a property I currently let out. Gary gave a very competitive quote and was very responsive to messages and phone calls. He was polite and friendly on the phone and clearly explained any issues and checked with me before making any amendments (such as him suggesting moving the isolator switch I wanted installed to a more sensible location). He also provided an electricity safety certificate (at my request) and gave me a call to talk me through it clearly once he was finished.

I initially hired Gary (2 core) to fit a consumer unit only in a property I let but after speaking to him and getting his professional advice more work was required. All the additional work was carried out to a very high standard and certified at a very reasonable price, in-fact all the work was completed and certified for what another electrician quoted me for the consumer unit install. I also found Gary very easy to do business with and contacting him isn't a problem at all. If you want someone to turn up on time and complete your Job to a very high standard for a fair price, then look no further.

Was able to repair problem in the same visit as he carries parts in his van. The cost initially quoted was in line with quotes from other electricians, and although an additional cost was required due to the extractor fan actually being broken, the cost of replacement was less than expected. Gary did an excellent job in our kitchen adding a new circuit and fitting allt he sockets I had purchased. I needed the circuit done quickly and they were in the next two nights to make sure it was done before the end of the week.
