  • Soil pipe blocking at Manhole

    RC drainage fixed a bad connection to a 4 foot deep manhole a ridge inside the pipe for a ground floor toilet that was blocking on a regular basis new build . The alignment of pipe to manhole was also incorrect so this was not easy to fix with some serious digging and pipe reconfiguration.

    Two weeks have passed the problem is now fixed thanks to experts Reece & Aiden clean tidy professional 5 star service.

    We had the pleasure to work with Reece and his team on our groundworks at the property.
    He and his team dropped the floor and installed new french drains around the property.

    We were kept informed throughout the whole process and were provided before and after photos, along with video footage of what the problems were at the time.

    We were also provided a first quote for the job, which in the end required additional time due to how high our ground floor was, but despite there being additional work due to the height of our existing ground floor, Reece still kept his word with the original price of the first quote.

    The initial job was fine but 6 months on the 3 drain covers that were fitted have cracked and broken. One has collapsed into the drain. I have contacted the manufacturers who say these covers are not suitable for driveways.
    After the initial call to Reece he has not answered my calls. I am very disappointed.

They had to dig a fair bit deeper than we expected to get the pipe in and had to do lots of lugging of materials through the house. Reece was insistent for payment however after reassurance that I would not unfairly withhold payment we agreed to a part payment with the remaining paid upon visit by me to see the work.     Reece replaced a macerator in a difficult spot, the previous installation wasn’t the best and Reece went above and beyond to ensure it was installed properly this time, spending more time with us than he envisaged but completing the job in the right way.     Reece and Aidan were fantastic at installing a top quality sump pump in my cellar. I was most impressed with not only their hard work (it was a really tough job with reinforced concrete to get through) but also Reece’s integrity and attention to detail - he could have selected a cheapo pump and I’d have been none the wiser but he chose a top quality pump, the job was also much more difficult than anticipated and took longer than planned but again, Reece just got on with it and did not charge me any extra which was very much appreciated.     The guys were exemplary from start to finish. I had asked for a quote to remove an existing macerator and connect the existing toilet into the drain via new pipework. Reece was the first to respond and came within days and the 2 days work was completed within 2 weeks of my original post! On coming round for the quote Reece was very polite and thorough, investigating where the drains ran around the property and outlining what would need to be done. He provided a detailed written quote of all the works that would to be done at each stage, which I found really helpful to have agreed before any works began.
    The works involved quite a difficult dig and taking up part of the driveway. The guys persevered in finding the drain in difficult flint heavy ground, installed a new manhole and connected this up to the toilet. All dirt was removed from site along with all the old pipework for the macerator which he removed from inside the property. The driveway went back such that you would never even know they had been. A fantastic job from start to finish and I am extremely pleased with the end result.

    Just had my job completed by Reece and after dealing with some incompetent local people who have come and gone I’m so glad he responded to my ad! He was the first to respond on mybuilder and turned up exactly as promised even though I am at least an hours drive away. He inspected the issue, went and got the correct parts, kept me informed during the job, took pics and vids (as the sewer drain wasn’t easily accessible) and did exactly what was needed to fix the issue and kept to the price we agreed. I can’t recommend Reece enough, he knows what he’s doing and thanks to him the whole process was stress free and effortless which is how it should be! I did think twice seeing the negative reviews but I’m glad I ignored them as there are always some people who are never satisfied for one reason or other - but I am extremely happy with him, his behaviour so much so I’ve already sorted the next job I need doing with Reece! If you're reading this review and deciding if you’re hiring Reece or not, trust me don’t think twice go ahead and give him the job you won’t regret it!

    Is it installed to best practice? No. The crate is only just below ground level when it should be at least 300mm below and preferably 350mm!
    Am I now unable to spike my lawn in this area? No
    Will it go brown far quicker than the rest when we have a lack of rain in the summer? Yes!
    Have they put big gouges in my down pipe with their angle grinder? Yes!
    Have I had to re-install my down pipe because they left it hardly connected at the two gutter entry points? Yes!
    Was the block paving replaced flat and level and re-sanded in? No!
    Did I have to spend an hour the day after they left with a hose and broom clearing up the mess they left? Yes
    Did I give them the chance to come and correct the issues? Yes
    Did the return? No!
    These are facts about the job that was done for me. I will let you decide if you want to use these people.

    Hi there

    I am very upset with this feedback!! I have pictures of the job and the drainage runs which are 400mm deep going in to the soakaway crates the job was quoted for and we carried out the works. But on the second day it rained heavily which left the site in a mess I.e wet muddy clay on the block paving and the down pipe needed to be put back in to place and resand the block paving. Due to the weather this could not be carried out and we arranged to come back on a dry day. You paid me £1000 out of the total being £1500 and held back the £500 for us to come back. When I tried to call and emailed I had no reply very upset with this feed back have been to the property twice and no answer. I am a very busy contractor and lost money on the job and have not heard from you or had a reply.

    the job was to unblock toilet and change taps in bathroom. Had to call them back because the toilet poroblem was still happening. They came back the next day. After a couple of days, noticed the sink had a quite a bad leak. They did seem to have a problem getting the old taps off, i was assured that there was no problem.     Everything started well then ended up a disaster! Reece carried out work to relocate our soil stack and water mains, he dug deep holes outside and inside to connect the new stack to the drain and chased a shallow hole to re position the water mains. We have been left with an unsafe floor (packed with plastic bags and scaffold boards) that we would have eventually fell through, once the wood had rotten, and have a constant foul smell coming out of the vents in the cavity and from outside where he has left the old stack pipes open.

    We've tried to contact Reece on numerous occasions to rectify the problems but he has just ignored us completely!

    The service provider agreed to come on the date I wanted him to come. He let me know he was going to be late. He managed to unblock my drain. Overall I was happy with the service except when it came to paying the invoice. The invoice was payable on presentation so the provider was chasing me to pay the bill the day after issuing it. This was even before I had a chance to check inspect whether the work had been completed properly.

    Two sides: Mr Carter claimed that the noises were caused by a faulty kitchen tap, which he replaced, and it did seem to solve the noises. However, the replacement tap he installed was not of the best quality and a retaining washer that should have been fixed underneath was either left off or very loose, so the tap wobbled and was generally unsatisfactory. I found it so bad that I have since had the tap unit replaced by another plumber

    Good evening peter I can apologise profusely if your unhappy. I received your email and I replied and was happy to reattend to your property again to see why the kitchen tap come loose. Before I carried out any work I showed you the new kitchen tap with was identical to the original one you had and was happy for me to fit, then I explained that over the years of the copper being under the floor boards that the pipework probably could do with lagging and clipping to stop the pipework from touching. But I apologise profusely again you was unhappy and can refund the price of the tap and collect so I can return to the plumbing merchants if faulty

    Reece was absolutely fantastic. We had waste from upstairs flats coming in through our toilet bowl and flooding the place.Came out within the hour and got to work on an internal stack blockage in our flats. Had all the right gear and knew exactly what he was doing (unlike Luton Council who refused to help) Did a thorough clean out of all the drains and checked and double checked until everything was running perfectly.
    No scary hiked up bills like you see on TV programmes. Reece gives you the price up front and sticks to it. The price was extremely reasonable.

    Even filled out a report for me explaining what the problem was and that it was a Council issue so I can try and claim back from them.
    Can't praise him enough. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend his services to anyone.
