Superb job on fitting kitchen and flooring. Ash was very transparent from the beginning on costs and what could and couldn't be done within budget. When an issue came up (we need to damp proof a room when we took up the floor), Ash provided an accurate quote for the extra work and overall there was no variation on the final bill. ALL the work was done to a very high quality and on time, so I can't really fault AJ Carpentry in any way, highly recommended and wouldn't hesitate to let friends and family know about Ash and team for future work.

We recently bought a house with a new kitchen but were keen to have several extra units fitted. Ash and his team did this for us at quite short notice and performed the work to an excellent standard. This included the carpentry, electrics and plumbing work. The work took around a week and the kitchen was left clean and tidy each evening. Ash and his team were a pleasure to deal with throughout the project. There was a minor hitch when we realised that the place where we had planned to put our tumble drier vent had some gas pipes hidden in the wall. Ash was able to deal sensibly with this and came up with a good alternative. We are delighted with the finished product and would have no hesitation using Ash again.

Dear My Builder, I hired Ash Jilka to do a substantial amount of building work / carpentry plus the fitting of a very upmarket kitchen with a lot of bespoke customisation, solid 40mm oak work surfaces, appliance fitting, sink and taps, 100% brick tiling and more. He was excellent in every aspect. He and his coworkers turned up at 8.00am every day and worked solidly and totally professionally until 5.00pm. They were friendly, efficient and tidied up and vacuumed the site at the end of each working day. He listened intently to the required customisation needs of the client and acted accordingly. Was very pleased with the work done and impressed with the cleaning that was done afterwards.

Ash and his colleague installed a laminated floor in our apartment. Including removal of old skirting boards and reattaching new ones on top of floor throughout the flat. The job was done entirely during our absence, so we left keys to the house with him. Everything was done in time and to high standard. Great attention to detail around doors and kitchen. We are extremely pleased with the work and would not hesitate to recommend their services or use them again in the future. Ash created a fitted wardrobe space for us. He provided a competitive and detailed quote, did a great job on the wardrobe itself, cleaned up after himself and kept us informed throughout as to his progress / decision points in the process. Highly recommend AJ Carpentry for jobs such as this.

Hired Ash to lay laminate flooring in a bungalow, throughout three rooms and the hall. He was punctual giving a quote and managed to fit us in at short notice. Ash did a great job fitting our engineered oak floor and was very easy to get in touch with by phone and email - highly recommended!

The job itself was well done. My new laminate floor and my kitchen worktops look great. However there was no attempt to keep the wood dust to a minimum, the whole house was incredibly dirty afterwards and dusty everywhere. On top of that I had to re-sechedule the job several times because it kept being postponed and in the end Ash never came back to finish the job as agreed. The job was not 100% finished on time because of me- I did not buy all the materials needed. However Ash gave me his word that he would come back to finished and he did not. I gave up after being cancelled several times and not hearing back from him. In the end I had to hire someone else.
