Though I liked Matt, with a heavy heart, it is hard to leave a positive feedback based on my overall experience
1 I didn't realize that the house is in a conservation area, hence when matt completed the job, the whole things has to be stripped and re-done to change to the correct slates. £2000 down the drain
2 To recoup some of my losses, Matt offered to sell my old tiles, and left them in my back garden. 1yr has gone pass, and tiles are still here. I asked him if he will ever come back, he said he won't, and told me that I wasn't reachable when he found a buyer - the truth is I'm always reachable on text, even if I missed his calls (which I doubt)
3. The scaffold was left in my yard for over 6mth. I reached out to him in the end, and finally got it removed
4. When I ask him about the tiles tonight, he mentioned that I have an unpaid invoice to him of £120! Shocking. He said he told my estate agent about it, but I'm just surprised to hear that he carried out work with my knowledge/ concent
Each time when I chase him up on things, he would say that it's my fault, as I "didn't answer his call". But how come I can always find him via text, and he couldn't do the same to me? I simply think that he forgot about the huge pile of tiles and the scaffold, and only remembered when I chased. To me, if tiles are not going to be sold, they are rubbish, and all rubbish need to be removed as agreed in the contract. Not removing tiles after a year is like not completing the job agreed
