The guy took over 2 hours to effectively put down grippers and marginally move my carpet. He said he needed the heating on full blast to “let all the creases out” before refitting. Please note he refitted carpet in 18 degree heat in May! He then went out to his van pulled the whole contents out onto the street to clean it out whilst waiting for“the creases” to smooth. When I said he’d get a parking ticket if he dIdnt hurry up his “helper” said he’d lost the glue to fix the grippers and had only just found it! He then decided to charge me an extra £10 for quick drying glue to fix the grippers to the concrete floor even though over the phone I stated that grippers were required. I feel like he treated me like a silly little woman and completely took the Micky! I have subsequently spoken to 2 local carpet fitters who said that they’ve never heard of putting on heating full blast to refit a carpet and the job should have taken no longer than half an hour!

Very happy with the quality of work done by Karl. Both Karl and Suzy were very professional and quick to respond to my post on my builder. They came to do the job the day after I posted it and turned up when they said they would, even ringing in advance to let me know they were on their way. The carpet on my stairs was fitted badly originally and had started to come away on one of the steps, which was dangerous for my kids. Karl has secured the carpet properly, which looks so much better and is now safe for the kids. I would highly recommend KRB Carpet and Flooring if you want your job done quickly, professionally and at a reasonable price
