Ken provided an excellent service, he took my drawing and turned it into reality. He offered advice, and discussed different options with us. Ken has a can-do attitude and he got the job done by the date we needed. Very happy with the quality of the work by him and his team.

Had my garden totally transformed from scratch by Ken and his team from KDM Developments. The work entailed digging out the site, leveling it off, then laying a patio, new lawn ,graveled areas and flower beds. The work took less than 2 weeks, and all the team worked hard from the minute they arrived til the time that they left.They were all friendly and polite and obviously take a pride in their work. I know have a garden to be proud of. I can thoroughly recommend KDM and consider myself very lucky to have found them. They will be my first port of call for any building related job in the future.

Ken undertook re-roofing in green slate, plastering and joinery. He was good to have around - very amenable with everything to be done. Punctual, did what he said he was going to do in the time specified. He was great and I would recommend him. We were really happy with the job.

We asked Ken to block pave our drive and courtyard, which had not been maintained for several decades. His preparation and client briefing were excellent and this helped us to make some crucial early decisions. We then left to go on holiday and while we were away, Ken stripped out the old concrete and tarmac and took away a huge amount of hardcore. By the time we got back, the paving was well advanced and was looking great. Over the next few days, he and his team completed the job to a superb standard - it really does look fantastic. It was on time and budget. The things which stood out for me with Ken (who we will be using again on other projects) are: 1. Excellent communication and explanation. 2. Tremendous technical competence. 3. Precise attention to detail - a real pride in his work.

Our project was the restoration and decoration of the ground floor of an old Cumbrian farmhouse, which included stabilizing and strengthening the structure and plaster of the ceiling. The upstairs work was similar plus the addition of 50mm of Kingspan insulation board in the bedroom ceilings, re-plastering and decorating and the construction of a studwall in the bedroom to create a through corridor. He has also maintained another rental property, involving wall strengthening, chimney sealing and wall waterproofing. He has also re-roofed some pigsties with plasticized corrugated iron. The work was of very high quality largely due to the long-term relationships with his craftsmen. All work was completely sympathetic to the age and character of the building and was carried out with great flexibility to our suggestions and the limitations of an old structure. The work was exactly on time and exactly on budget. Strange but true! Ken's strengths lie in the fact that he listens well, makes appropriate and well informed suggestions and then gets on with the job, fast and to a very high standard. He is very personable and pleasant to have around. Last but not least - he clears up afterwards well.

Ken overhauled a house I bought which was badly finished, built a new brick & slate roofed storeroom, and did all the garden landscaping. Everything Ken did was well considered & properly done. He has a wealth of experience & it showed. Ken worked extremely hard & the work was on budget. I always felt Ken was looking after my interests & was completely trustworthy. I didn't worry that things wouldn't be done properly when I wasn't there - I had complete confidence in him. He is very easy to get on with & the work was always spot on. Highly recommended.
