Excellent service and quote reflected final bill.

Derek was spot-on with his quote and did an excellent job, replacing a rotten cill, rotten door post and plywood panels on our church hall. He was able to machine the exact profile to match the existing woodwork and he painted the replacement cill etc.,with a protective base coat, ready for the painter to varnish over. Would use him again.

Derek is a very competent and experienced joiner. He worked hard and did a great job. His quote was very detailed and it was easy to make alterations if necessary. Left the house tidy after each days work.

Derek did an excellent job from start to finish: very pleasant to deal with, excellent communications, arrived exactly on time, completed the job promptly and efficiently and made only a modest charge for it. If all tradesmen were as reliable! I cannot recommend him too highly.

I have employed a lot of tradesmen in my time and Derek is without doubt one of the best. He is polite, friendly and a good tidy workman who cleans up after himself. Most importantly he interpreted a particular brief vey well and left us with exactly what we wanted. He also undertook a number of other tasks for us and these were well executed as well. The job was on time and too budget. His charges were very reasonable for the work he did and I was very happy to pay the bill. I would have no hesitation in recommending Derek McDonald to others and I will certainly seek to employ him again if I have need of his skills.

We were probably quite difficult clients - our plans changed a few times during the project - but Derek was very accommodating.
