Where do I start! Bob is the ideal builder ,amiable, hard working, a great sense of humour and obviously, ' Affordable '. He is very punctual and he organised everything we needed and any problems that arose, he was very helpful in trying to sort out. We have no hesitation in recommending Bob and would use him again for future works.

Top Class Job by a Top Class Tradesman We can’t recommend Bob’s services enough! We wanted to choose a local tradesman for our brickwork on our single storey extension. We checked out this website and found his very high recommendations from previous customers. We had obtained 4 quotes prior to the job and Bob’s was not the cheapest nor the most expensive. We found his thoroughness in the quote, his vision going forward and subsequently his work ethic alongside his work colleague Gary, 2nd to none. As a team and individually Bob and Gary were punctual, polite and cheery and tidied up at the end of each day. You couldn’t ask for better from a tradesman and we want to say a huge THANKYOU to these genuinely lovely guys. We are so pleased with the quality of Bob’s work and the subsequent independent tradesmen who are completing the extension have all praised his workmanship, complimenting his work as the best they have come across. This praise speaks volumes and tells us we made a great choice. We have already asked Bob to come back later in the year to create a landscaped patio and garden area with features. Bob and his mate, Gary, have done an excellent job in digging out clay to clear a site and then extend a patio, with a retaining wall and steps up to the lawn. Bob is even more particular about standards of his design, workmanship, functionality, timing and aesthetics than I demanded. He has my respect. Each paving stone was laid and levelled with infinite care to ensure efficient drainage. The result is both efficient and pleasing. I was especially pleased to be given a copy of every invoice for materials, so I knew I was not being charged extra. Although his quote was not the cheapest I am glad I chose value for money. “Oh! How marvellous,” is a typical reaction by friends. Bob Cummings is thoroughly recommended for expertise and integrity. Charles Wylie.

Very pleased with brickwork replacing boundary wall at my Mothers house. Not only did we get everything we wanted, because Bob is so into his work with his attention to detail you get something a bit special. He and his partner were also very good with Mum who does not always understand what is going on. I would not hesitate to recommend Bob and Affordable Construction!

We were very impressed by the work carried out by Bob and Gary. In particular we appreciated their professional attitude and enthusiasm. Bob’s creative flair has left us with an expertly built wall with unique features admired by many! I am extremely pleased with my new garden wall and would recommend Bob and Sam (his son) unreservedly, to anyone, who required a diligent, hardworking and conscientious bricklayer and builder. They always arrived when they said they would and even earlier sometimes. They took exactly as long as they said they would to complete the work and the final cost was even slightly less than the quote. That doesn't happen normally! Bob clearly loved his work and indeed it showed, in the care he took in fulfilling the job to my utmost satisfaction. So much so, that he will be returning to build a new garden, boundary wall, which has fallen into disrepair and has deteriorated over the (many) years. Also, the electrics to my garage, which is at the end of this wall, will be rewired, in order to comply with IEE regulations. I am so pleased I used MyBuilder.com as it has rewarded me with a builder and a friend, that I will be able to rely on implicitly and will no longer have to "take a chance" on finding anyone else again. I will post a photo on this job, to show Bob and Sam's excellent and first class work. Thank you once again, Bob and Sam.
