- Structural calculations **Customer description** Hello, Unfortunately due to workload our existing SE is unable to assist us on a current project so we're looking elsewhere for someone to undertake the following job. We're looking for beam calculations and drawings for a Building Notice submission for the following: 1) Opening in a single story extension (supporting a pitched roof) to be widened from 2080mm to 2910mm to accommodate uPVC bi-fold doors. (2900mm x 2080mm) 2) Opening in an external wall (supporting above masonry and roof) to be widened from 1160mm to 2610mm to accommodate a window (2600mm x 1150mm) 3) Opening in an internal load bearing wall (was formerly the external wall prior to an extension) to be increased from 800mm to 2178mm. 4) There is also a medium density block wall leading into the garage that ideally we would like to remove in order to extend into the garage. Although upon inspection it isn't supporting anything above it there is a chance it is acting as a buttress/support to the adjoining external wall; so professional advice is sought as to whether or not this wall (or at least a large section of it) can be safely removed. In short we require 3 beam calculations/drawings and advice on the removal of another wall (which in turn may require calculations/drawings). Further details, drawings and pictures can be provided upon request and obviously a site visit would be necessary. An estimate of total cost would be greatly appreciated prior to undertaking any work to help our clients budget accordingly. Many thanks in advance, Charles
