I wanted to refrain from leaving this feedback but having not received a penny of my money back as promised I feel I owe this to any of damiens future customers: After Damien left the job uncompleted with no running water and a leaky sink and toilet, plus the old bathroom suite in the front garden, due to "personal issues", I had to pay out the same money again to another plumber to get the job finished. Hers is his report of Damiens work: DEAR SARAH, detailed below are the faults with your bathroom, the majority have now been rectified. The 22mm hot and cold gate valves in the loft had been broken, by snapping the stem shut, basically overtightened, these were changed with new valves. The tiling is attrocious , the worst ive ever seen, grout not wiped away. The bath has not been correctly fixed to the wall, mearly silicone stuck, this will move with a fulll bath of water and a person in it. There are no bath supports to take the weight if anyone sits on the bath edge it will probably crack the bath, these supports also act as a framework fot the bath panel, which is just flapping around and not fitted and has been badly cut around waste pipe. The bath waste and handbasin waste runs up hill, how was the water going to drain away ? there were leaks on most joints aswell as the trap was leaking. It is honestly the worst set up ive ever seen, your origional plumber tried to bodge up his leaking joints by applying a brown hard settting putty around the joints, i have cut them out and will post to you as evidence. The taps were loose. The toilet is loose and not fixed and installed with no service valve. Poor. The pop up waste for the handbasin is missing, probably because he doesnt no how to fit it. The elecric shower was plumbed up to the tank cold water feed and not the Mains Water Supply, It would never had worked! Any plumber Knows electric showers are connected to the mains water supply. The electric shower was wired up using no earth sleeve and using only a 2.5 mm cable. This is welll under-rated and would have melted and caused a fire. This instillation has now been condemmed.The shower was going to be just spurred into the ring main and not via a 45 amp pull chord and RCD . Neary all his joints were push fits and he even managed to get leaks on those. The shower screen has been installed 5 mm above the bath, and would have let the water run down on the outside of the bath to the floor. All pipework is messy, what i call DIY job and not a proffesional installation. This installation is the worst ive ever seen in 22 years of trading and i would doubt this plumbers compitence with ANY plumbing works, I would check to see if he is registered with any trade organisations and check if he holds any trade qualification or even insurance and would even report him to trading standards ! Its plumbers like this guy who gives us decent tradesman a bad name !

This is the second time that we have used Damien. Once again, he arrived on time, worked hard through the day, did a great job and was exceptionally tidy. The new tiles look perfect, and the underfloor is a lot more solid - essentially all-in-all a very professional job. He even took away the old tiles, making it even easier for us afterwards.

Damien was superb. We got well over a dozen responses in 24 hours, which was incredible and shows the power of this website. This allowed us to short-list 3-4 firms who had given the most thought to our job. I emailed/called my short-listed firms with further details on the job. I hired Damien at "Bespoke Tiling" as he was the most responsive in terms of nailing down what the job would involve, and seemed genuine / trustworthy. Damien turned up on-time (7.30am in central London), kept us fully briefed on what would be best way of approaching each step, was very tidy and conscious about minimising the mess (dust-sheets and shoes off without even a word from us), and foremost he did a very good job. We are very happy with the results. And a big thank you to the MyBuilder.com website - simple to use, and a great way to quickly get an idea of who is offering the right kind of quote / service / expertise. And we would not have found Damien any other way.

Damien has done an excellent job. He kept me informed prior to and whilst doing the job. He was very friendly and polite. The kitchen looks great and was left very tidy I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to anyone. An excellent job at a great price.

I received quotes ranging from sensible to absolutely ridiculous for the work I required doing. I provided the materials because I was originally going to do the work myself and had already purchased everything. So I was only looking for a price for labour. I'm sure, had I arranged for Damien to supply materials too it would have probably worked out even cheaper due to his trade connections... Damien came in with a realistic price for the work I needed doing. He stated it would take 3 to 4 days and completed in 3. He worked efficiently and tidied up each day before leaving for home. He maintained good contact prior to and after the job (checking we were happy with everything). He arrived each day around 08:00 and left around 16:30 but was happy to fit in around us if needed. He did work late on day 3 (at our request) to finish the work. In total, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen in three days is very good. I will not hesitate to recommend Damien as a reliable and consistent worker who quotes a realistic price for a realistic job.

Damien did a fantastic tiling job in our kitchen and utility room. He arrived early and worked solidly and made the whole experience very easy and pleasant for us. Communication was very good prior to the job and during. The work done is of an excellent standard and we keep walking back into the kitchen just to look at it again because we are so pleased! If I can add some pictures to this site I will do as the floor is perfectly level and the lines are amazingly straight! I would definitely recommend Damien to others and would use him again if anything else needed doing.

Prior to hiring Damien to do the work I recieved very good communications on all aspects of the work and was given a variety of options so that Damien could give me an accurte picture of the work involved. Damien arrived on time as discussed and was a true professional throughout the work. His main priority was making sure that i was happy with the work and no suggestions or changes that I wanted were a hassle for him. Damien was respectful and tidy throughout the day (even though being tidy meant much more work for him)and i have already got another quote from him for our bathroom.
