    Lighting
Adam Clayton is not to be trusted, he broke our marble table back in January whilst taking some light fittings down. He told us he was insured and gave us details however, it appears his policy was cancelled so he had no insurance. We have been chasing him since January 2014 and we STILL do not know what is happening with our claim. We paid him in good faith for the job he did, which he took and he keeps avoiding my calls. He states he has insurance but clearly he doesn't. We are now seeking advice from the police.

    Answer from tradesperson:

First of all I did and I have appolagised accidents happen sometimes that why I do have insurance. I gave mrs marsh my insurance details that were in date at the time. The table isn't marble it was marble looking, it's made of papier-mâché, if I'd of known this I would of not touched it. The Delicate furniture should have been moved before I got there or told not to pull it out to get to the light so could change it. I doubt my insurance will pay as mrs marsh does not gave the receipt for the table bought 8 years ago. I am willing to refund the £50 for the work done and £100 compensation out of my own pocket.

    Shower replacing/Re-wirering

The job was done a day later than planned. The tradesman left the bathroom in a mess, leaving scratches on my lino flooring that now needs replacing, also cut 2 pieces out of my coving and left one. The shower was placed on my tiled wall the opposite was round so I now have the holes exposed from the old shower, which makes that wall look tatty and in need of replacing. The tradesman said he would place conduit outside where the wire feeds from the fuse box but hasn't. Not happy and would not recommend this tradesman

    Answer from tradesperson:

I did not scratch the lino? I insisted that theresa got a left hand water inlet shower or a swivel inlet that can be moved from left to right as I could not move the pipe without taking off the tiles. I made the hole in the coving before checking the shower inlet I am willing to replace the coving. I did not say I would use conduit outside. Do not work for the women nightmare! I have 100% positive feedback on here since I joined. She just making excuses to knock money off.

    Rewire empty property - Leicester
Job progressing nicely, Adam completed first fixings to deadline to allow next contractor to come in and do their work. Left to work unsupervised in empty house, is doing a great job.

complete rewire of terrace house with loft convertion and kitchen extension including 3 smoke dectors and one heat detector

He was recommended to me by my builder - we have had the whole house re-wired and a new alarm system, he did a very good job and came when he said he would. He completed the work quickly, and cleared up well after himself. He has also done some work for a neighbour, which was spot on. He is a very nice lad, very friendly and I would recommend him to anyone.

conservatory lighting, sockets and underfloor heating utility lighting and power, changed consumer unit

He's very good. He did 2 projects for me last year and he's currently working for us again! I'm very pleased with Adam, he's very reliable, he's a very neat worker, he's very approachable and flexible. He's not shy on putting hours in and he's also fair on the cost side. I have no problems in recommending him.

Complete rewire of 2 bed dorma bungalow with on suite and an outhouse supply office installed with metal conduit

He did a really good job. He did a full rewire of our house and we had no problems with Adam or his work. I've used him again for smaller jobs after that and I've recommended him as well.
