Review from dawn32380, Haltwhistle Review left on 19 Sep 2019Rating: 5 out of 5Installation of new kitchenWe were so happy to of found Simon. Conscientious, hardworking and has done a absolutely fantastic job of our kitchen. Fitting, tiling and putting the laminate flooring down. All done to perfection. Nothing was too much for Simon, advice given on things we would not even thought about. Such a genuine, kind man and a first class fitter - so good we have asked Simon to come back and do some more work on our house, starting with fitting our living room flooring. Thanks Simon.Review from mrs85704, Penrith mrs85704, Penrith

Review left on 4 Mar 2019Rating: 5 out of 5Kitchen re-fitWe have just had our kitchen/diner completely renovated by Simon. We approached Simon with a very tight deadline (we're expecting a baby in 6 weeks) which he completely understood and ensured all work was completed within the timeframe agreed. Every step of the way he remained helpful, professional and friendly. We trusted Simon to complete the majority of the work while my partner and I were out working and he left everything immaculate at the end of each day for us returning. Simon removed an internal wall separating our kitchen and dining room, boarded & skimmed the whole room, moved sockets/installed spotlights, prepped and tiled the floor, installed the new kitchen (including bespoke shelving in a tricky area too small for conventional cupboards) and completed the plumbing work to a very high standard. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Simon to friends and family and we will certainly be using him again in the future as our whole house renovation progresses.Review from geoff44847, Kendal geoff44847, Kendal

Review left on 24 Jul 2018Rating: 5 out of 5Plastering hall, stairs and landingSimon is an extremely thorough and hard-working chap - he made time for us in his busy schedule and completed the job to his very high standard within the time-frame he had quoted. He was prompt, worked late and left the working area clean and tidy. He is a lovely man and we would highly recommend him to anyone and would not hesitate to ask him back ourselves for future work. We are really pleased with the job and delighted to finally have smooth walls! Thank you Simon.Review from andrea23784, Carlisle andrea23784, Carlisle

I work for Cumbria County Council and he fitted some doors for one of my clients. He was completely none judgemental and immediately put my client at ease when he was doing the job. The job Simon did was excellent value for money and I will definitely be looking to call upon his services in the future.Review from majella_70, Appleby In Westmorland majella_70, Appleby In Westmorland
Review left on 20 Apr 2018Rating: 5 out of 5Removal of inside wallsAbsolutely fabulous bloke! Friendly, polite & really easy going. Was the only one that contacted me. He worked really hard, the end result is amazing. Simon left no debris( & gave us the option to save a bit of cash by removing ourselves). His work is extremely good. He arrived promptly, took no lunch break & completed the job in a timely fashion. Thanks Simon! Putting your number on speed dial!! 10/10.Review from paul_1det, Windermere paul_1det, Windermere
Review left on 13 Mar 2018Rating: 1 out of 5Refurbish 2 bathrooms in a holiday lodge(Updated on 30 Mar 2018)Simon appeared to be a good choice and all works went well until he was paid in full. Two bathrooms fitted but left with two LED mirrors which had to be returned, ceiling not finished. so I paid Simon in full, on his promise to return to fit when the replacement mirrors were delivered. From that point messages I sent him were were ignored, when we eventually got a reply excuses were made, some blatantly untrue.More txts were sent then he told me he would fit the mirrors only with a further charge of £200 but would not be available until June.Since then I have had another electrician try to rectify Simons work, to be told the holes in the tiles are not positioned correctly and the electrics would only be correct if the mirrors were hung upside down with the sensor at the top, out of reach.Very disappointed in his work but more so his attitudeAnswer from tradesperson:
Attitude? I'm the most easy going, totally focused professional on the planet. Quality and work ethic is second to none, feedback here and on other sites is exemplary. I never lie, I have never ripped anybody off and I ALWAYS deliver 1st class results. I am immensely proud of my reputation. Client Kim Wells states 'works went well', bathrooms completed and paid in full. Texts and an email from her and husband say ''excellent, thank you very much Simon'. Last day on site I'm asked as a 'huge favour' to fit LED mirrors, blind brackets and other accessories for free, I agree as goodwill. Unfortunately for the client, 1st mirror fitted is faulty and 2nd is damaged by her husband.Client then asked second 'huge favour', will I do 2 1/2hr round trip and fit replacement mirrors again for free when they arrive. I agree as goodwill but state 'can only do so if they arrive quickly due to other work commitments and a long standing skiing holiday'. They did not arrive quickly as promised, they arrived the day before my skiing holiday. On my return to the UK the Beast from the East had cut off much of Cumbria, Eden Valley where I live, isolated with 12' snow drifts. Royal Marines air dropping food. Explaining this to Kim I'm called a liar ( she wouldn't know, she doesn't live in Cumbria) she then demanded a refund for the 2nd batch of FREE work I was unable to do. How can you demand a refund for goodwill? Holes incorrect and only work upside down, totally baffled, my fault?

Review left on 30 Oct 2017Rating: 5 out of 5Fit new ensuite and 2 new radiatorsSimon is a very skilled tradesman! We had an ambitious project to turn our hallway into an Ensuite shower room and he worked hard, producing an excellent result. He can turn his hand to most trades and we hope to get him back for more projects in the future.
