Repair of fireplace hearth

Stonemasonry job in Billericay, Essex

A glass candle holder fell and chipped the edge of the stone hearth approx 70x20mm. I still have most of the pieces. I need advice on if it can be repaired. It looks like slate but not too sure.

I was very, very pleased with the repair to the hearth that Russell carried out and the fact that the job I posted was responded to so quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to friends. Thanks again.
