"The main roof is of traditional timber pitched construction clad with concrete tiles on timber battens and sarking felt as well as half round concrete ridge tiles set in mortar on the apex. " "Across the front are single storey roofs over the kitchen and hallway/garage of mono-pitched construction clad with identical concrete tiles some of which have been replaced in sections during the course of general maintenance. The triangular ridge tile and hip tiles are however sitting on perished mortar. Attempts have been carried out to repoint these sections but they will all need to be lifted and reset in gauged cement mortar to avoid slippage in the future. "
