Job description

Following work needed. Flat is a victorian conversion, ground floor. Given scope of work an on-site quote is strongly preferred.

1) Old consumer unit in guest toilet wall, no RCD protection. Needs replacing with a new unit into hallway. As expect new cabling (gas, water bonding) from mains required and the meters for the flats are c.5m away, floorboards will likely need to come up. Need all part P compliant obviously.

2) Bathroom downlighters x4 need replacing. Currently old IPx4 on a 12v system, 3 of 4 transformers seem to have gone. Would like to explore IP65 fire rated replacements (ideally dim-able 240v LED - diameter of cut out is c.8cm and void is 10-11cm deep). Plasterboard ceiling backed by fiberboard void (from what I can tell)

3) Replacement/repair of bathroom extractor fan (if necessary, old extractor may still be usable)

4) Replacement of bathroom mirror with lighted unit (this will be provided)

5) Fixing broken socket in bedroom

I also want to understand any further testing that needs to be done to have work certified (for example, assume replacing consumer unit predicates testing of rest of circuits in flat) and what likely remediation actions would be for common test failures. I also would like to understand what the options are to just do work on the bathroom (suspect not possible given old light units)
