Correct bad garage conversion - Restoration & Refurbishment job in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

Job description

  • Owns the property
  • Small refurb

Customer description

My house has a prior garage conversion that wasn't done particularly well; in particular there seems to be a lack of insulation on the walls and floor.

The gas/leccy meters are also somewhat bizarrely behind a full-height door.

I'm looking to rectify the room by insulating the walls, getting a proper floor fitted (such that carpet can be laid on top), and replacing the full-height door to the meters with some form of cupboard.

Added 5th April, 2021: ---------------------- During quotation am also interested in discussing adding noise insulation to the room; something like Soundboard4 or equivalent.

S. L. Foreman Building were an absolute pleasure to work with on this project. After an initial discussion and estimate from Shenton, Jason did the majority of the work and I have zero complaints with how it went.

Jason arrived promptly and just got on with it, he tidied up after himself at the end of the day, and there was a great ongoing dialogue as things came up that required us to tweak the agreed plan.

The costs were reasonable and kept to the estimate, and where I'd asked for specific materials both Shenton and Jason made sure to show me what they were fitting so I could see for myself that everything was to spec.

I would certainly use them again!
