Customer description

Lounge ceiling 27 ft by 13ft which is wallpapered and 50 yrs old and surrounded by coving with approx 8mm clearance. We wish to board over the existing ceiling and try to keep the original coving - is it possible to use 9.5mm board and skim ceiling and even edge over the 1.5mm coving difference in height?
