I hired Steve and his son Dan after reading positive feedback on this site. I had three distinct 'job's' in mind, two I definitely wanted doing and a third which I was considering. Steve and Dan started on the first job of removing a chimney from above the roof right down to foundation level and then making good the room from which it had been removed, re-plastering all walls and ceiling, repairing wooden floor boards and replacing skirting board. Both men worked hard from the moment they arrived until they finished in the evening. They had little time for drink or meal breaks and worked in a methodical way, always leaving the workplace tidy and safe when they left. The standard of work was very high and they did the best plastering we've ever had done. As the first job was finishing, we had an unexpected offer on our property which we had previously tried to sell in 2012 without success. Steve agreed to give us two months whilst we saw if the sale would be viable. After a delay, the sale is now proceeding and we will not require Steve for any more work if it goes to completion. However, if we lose the sale, we will be staying put and approaching Steve to see if he would continue the work we want carrying out. I highly rate the work Steve and Dan carried out for us and do not hesitate to recommend them. They will give you an excellent job at a fair price.
