Job description

Looking for a painter to help finish off a job I'm doing in Clapham Junction SW11. The painting job is to prepare and paint a hallway which is 3 stories with 2 flights of stairs. Also the lounge room, and the kitchen need painting. The bathrooms mentioned in the job description mean the ceiling in one bathroom and the walls and ceiling in another.

It's an ex-council house with a loft conversion and that basically means the dimensions are smaller than Victorian houses so please quote accordingly.

The job needs to include painting the doors and skirtings (small modern skirtings, easy to paint), however the hallway doors only one side, the side facing the hallway.

I have tenants in the house, so the bedrooms don't need doing at the moment, but it means there is some work needed to move furniture and things away from the walls to enable painting, then to return those things back into place by the end of each day.

I am finishing off an extension in the back garden, so I am there on the job but have to concentrate mainly on finishing the work I have.

I have paint ready to go, Magnolia for the walls, white for the ceiling and eggshell for the doors and skirting.

You will need rollers, brushes, covering sheets etc. I do have some, but I would expect a painter has more than I have.

I estimate it's a week's work for 2 guys, I will favour someone who offers a good price and can start soon and stay with the job to the finish. I will also need a receipt.

I have given the best description I can so I prefer if you quote me a price and we'll take it from there to avoid wasting time asking to look at the job etc. A couple of pics included so you can see.

  • Added 7th January, 2013 : Please note that the internal pics were taken 6 or 7 years ago, so it is re-painting and has deteriorated since the pictures.

  • Added 7th January, 2013 : This is not a particularly complicated painting job, I have a budget of about £700 for labour so please use that as a guide as to what will gain my interest.

Feedback for JWS Maintainence

Jo was friendly and easy to communicate with. He stuck closely to the plan from beginning to end which was important to me as the property is tenanted and I wanted what I told my tenants to happen pretty much as I told them so I was grateful that Jo understood that and worked the job to achieve that tight schedule. I will also comment that he turned up completely reliably on the last two days which happened to be snow days but that didn't phase him at all. Recommended.
