Job description

The new building is roughly 5.7 metres long, 4.7 metres wide and 1 storey above ground level sloping in one direction only. It will have 3 Velux's and one bathroom vent vertically coming out.

I'm interested in newer methods than just hot felt, for example 'Crystic Roof' and 'Firestone Rubber Cover'. However I will consider hot felting too, but I've seen these newer methods and they seem to be better so I'm keen to be quoted for them. Pleae state in your reply if you're familiar with these newer methods.

As you can see from the pic it's being bricked up right now. That pic was taken yesterday, the 23rd and I expect the brickwork to be finished by next week, the end of October.

I am planning to install the timber frame ASAP with the bricklayers to get the best result so I expect the timber to also be done by the end of next week. After that, sugject to building control, I want to get on with the roof so we're looking at the 2nd week of November or around about then for the job start.

The job is in SW11 near Clapham Common and available to look at prior to quoting which might be best in this case.

Feedback for masterclass

I found Phil to be easy to get along with. He was both punctual when telling me he'd be on site and also flexible when the weather said no (or yes for that matter). Other guys tried to tell me my preferred fibreglass roof wasn't possible due to the cold, but Phil happily explained it all, making it clear the other guys lacked experience and the result is leak free and a much better looking roof than felt. I've left it 6 weeks to be able to leave this positive feedback with 100% confidence I got what I paid for. Thanks Phil.
