Possible faulty central heating thermostat - Gas Work job in Barking, Essex

Customer description

Recent problem with central heating where the temperature of the radiators are so high that they are too hot to to touch. Turning down the room thermostat has no effect and when I turned off the heating itself the radiators still did not go off. In the end I had to turn off the boiler itself in order to turn off the heating. I'm assuming that this is a problem with the thermostat but am not sure.
