Kitchen and utility installation and bathroom tiling etc - General Building job in Glasgow, Lanarkshire
Start dateThey would like the job done by: 4th Jul 2008
Large kitchen to be stripped out and replaced. The kitchen measures 940cmx290cm. There is a kitchen to one end and a utility area to the other end.
Ideally we would like to put both the kitchen and the utility room at one end with a partition wall in between. Otherwise, the current layout can be maintained but a partition wall will be needed to section off the utility area.
All kitchen units, utilities and wall and floor tiles will need to be stripped out and disposed of. Kitchen and utility area to be fully refitted including appliances. Tiling to floor and walls. Spotlights to ceiling.
There is also a bathroom - 9'x7' approx - where the suite will remain except the toilet which will need replacing. The walls and floor of this bathroom need to be tiled. The sink and bath (mixer with shower attachment) taps need to be replaced also.
Quotes should include all basic buliding materials. If builders can obtain discounted kitchens and bathroom fittings that would be great.
Undoubtedly a visit will be needed to provide a full quote. However, if builders could provide an indication of price range that will help us to decide who will be able to complete the works within our budget.

THIS MAN AND HIS COMPANY IS FRAUDULENT.
PLEASE SEE OTHER REVIEWS ON HIS WEBSITE, WHERE PEOPLE HAVE FOUND HIM TO BE A "CRIMINAL".
WE HAVE FILED A LEGAL CLAIM AGAINST HIM FOR FRAUDUELENT MISREPRESENTATION AND BREACH OF CONTRACT SEEKING RECOVERY OF £3400. Here are the facts:
We entered into a contract for a bathroom and kitchen refrbishment (replace suite/units, retile, paint etc). The estimated time frame was 3 weeks.
At first we found the trader to be professional and keen to work. However 1 week into the job, the trader was aggresively demanding 50% of the total work despite the fact that he had only stripped out the exisiting suite/units. He also demanded extra money for the so called material expenses he had incurred. Upon request of the receipts of the materials, he refused to supply these.
Somewhat reluctant we paid the 50% payment to push the job forward. The next day (8 days into job) he collected all of his materials and abandoned the job. He has since refused to answer his phone or emails.
We are now living in builders site, and have paid for 50% materials (i.e. adhesive, grout and paint) which have not been supplied) and 50% labour which was not complete.
DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN OR COMPANY. Our solicitor has filed a claim against them, however they may have provided fraudulent details for any recovery/bailiff.
IF YOU INSTRUCT THIS COMPANY YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF.
