Cap unused edwardian chimneys & replace missing tiles - Roofing (Pitched) job in Tring, Hertfordshire

Job description

Our Edwardian house has some missing and slipped roof tiles that need replacing, particularly along the gable ends. In addition, we no longer use several of our chimneys and we'd like to cap these off to reduce drafts, rain and animal ingress using a vented cowl or similar (note the fireplaces below are not sealed up and we want to preserve some air flow to prevent damp).

The roof has a relatively steep pitch (although there is a flat roof to the rear which facilitates access) so scaffolding may well be required (your thoughts welcome on this).

We'd also like you to check out the flashing and guttering and advise if any repairs are required.

We'd like before and after photos of your work too please.

We're flexible timing-wise but would like to complete the work by the end of May. If scaffolding is required then we'll aim to co-ordinate this work with some external repairs and redecoration by other trades.

Feedback for Principle Home Developments

James was very polite, quoted promptly and helpful. He and his team completed the work: replacing missing tiles, capping off the chimneys and fixing a minor leak as soon as the weather permitted. They were quick, efficient and tidy. I'd recommend them and use them for future work.
