Our gas engineer has attended but cannot work out why the boiler is tripping the electrics. Professional electrical contractor required to support us to diagnose and/or repair the problem.

On 01/02/18 we placed an advert for an electrician to assist our customer. We shortlisted Gerard and explained that our payment run was every Friday. Gerard attended and resolved the electrical problem on Friday 02/02/18. The invoice was received at 15:10hrs on Friday 02/02/18 by email and we forwarded it to our Accounts Dept for payment (copying in Gerard by email). It transpired that the invoice had missed the midday payment deadline so it was processed the following Friday on 09/02/18 clearing on 12/02/18. In the interim, Gerard had called me to chase the payment stating that my explanation was "unacceptable" and I should "escalate the matter to my superior" which I did. It then turned out that the invoice had been paid in accordance with our usual timescales. A full explanation and details on the payment was then emailed to Gerard for his records on 13/02/18. During a telephone call on 19/02/18 I apologised for the misunderstanding regarding our payment timescales but I explained that we would leave positive feedback for the job.
