Insulating under suspended timber floor - Insulation job in Stockport, Cheshire

Job description

I have a 1930s semi with a suspended wooden floor. There is a crawlspace under the floor and I can access most of the underfloor area. My T&G floorboards have been cut over the years, so I have drafts coming up through the floor in the winter. I'd like to have it insulated before I get the floorboards either sanded and sealed or a new floor put on top.

It is possible to put insulation between the floor joists and support it with netting. Possibly the existing access hatch would need to be enlarged or a new one fitted. Also some periscopes would need to be fitted to the airbricks to maintain airflow to the void under the floor.

Could you give me an idea how much it would cost? The floor area of the house is 38m2.

Many thanks

Thanks for doing a great job of the underfloor insulation, for a very reasonable price. There was a couple of minor hiccups, but Nathan sorted these out very swiftly and professionally. I would be happy to recommend Nathan's team.
