Job description

Hi I am refitting my kitchen and have bought and had delivered the new wickes units. The Kitchen is approx 3m x 2m and includes approx 10 cupboards including a pull out corner unit and a tall 300 ml larder unit. The Kitchen is flat packed so will need to be assembled . The old kitchen will need to be removed and there is wall paper and tiles to be removed. Ideally we would like someone who not only is an excellent joiner but also able to turn their hand to the other work that needs to be done. We do have an electrician and access to a plumber for the appliances if necessary. We are getting quartz worktops fitted by the quartz supplier.

Feedback for AK Builders & Decorators

Afrim was 1 of many builders who contacted us for this job. Afrim visited our home and gave a detailed quote in writing. The job entailed stripping out the old kitchen, including stripping wallpaper from the ceiling and walls, removing the kitchen floor. Following on from this Afrim replastered the kitchen ceiling and walls. He cleaned out the subfloor and laid a new floor of exterior plywood and he laid ceramic tiles perfectly. Following on from this he assembled and fitted all the kitchen cabinets. Afrim was able to alert us to problems with the kitchen plan & with components not supplied. He spoke with the suppliers on our behalf & solved all issues and problems. In addition Afrim painted the whole kitchen.
The standard of Afrim's work was superb & the job was left spotless at the end of each day. So pleased were we with the quality of the job that bwe asked to quote for further works in the flat, namely a complete redecoration of the entrance hall and the living room/lounge.
These works included, stripping & replastering all ceilings & walls, lifting & relaying floors in carpet and ceramic tile. Removing existing & fitting new radiators. Replacing all electrical sockets ~&~ installing additional sockets. We had a major problem with ceiling cornice due to old damage. Afrim repaired a 3 metre section of Victorian cornice to an excellent standard, which the majority of plasterers would not attempt.
We could not recommend Afrim highly enough for his skill & integrity
