Plastering a lounge room ceiling - Plastering job in Clapham Junction, South London

Job description

Just finished replacing my ceiling which I removed to add insulation and foam backed plasterboard to reduce the noise levels from the flat above. Now it needs skimming.

Apart from the skimming, the job involves taping the joints and possibly some bonding around the edges because there's a small gap next to the coving caused by the foam backed plasterboard being thicker than the old plasterboard was, so bonding might be needed to bulk the edges out.

The room is 5 metres by 4 metres and the ceiling is 11 foot high. I have some ladders, a platform 126cm off the ground that could be stood on although to be honest it can be wobbly, so it would be up to you whether you wanted to use it or supply your own ladders etc. I have some buckets and a drill whisk that can be used if needed. It's a small job, so I'm offering use of some tools if that helps as some people travel light with only hand tools. If you have only plasters hand tools and need stuff for the rest on site, you would probably be fine on this job. Ground sheets are in place already too!

Materials to be supplied by the tradesman.

Ideally I'd like to get it done as soon as possible, this coming week would be ideal.

The guys turned up on time and completed the job quickly and skillfully. Well done. Would use again and would recommend!
