Guttering (wood) repair and flashing replacement - Roofing (Pitched) job in Oldham, Lancashire

Job description

Hi, the house has a small extension with its own roof, about 4m wide (width of house) by less than 1.5m. There is a window in it too but that seems fine apart from being a bit old. There has been damp coming in the kitchen whre the flashing would be outside and in the back bedroom above the kitchen. The guttering (extension and above 1st floor) is all wood and is in not great condition, with a few gaps that would need sorting. The flashing (4m wide) between the house bricks and extension's slate tiles is in quite bad condition and I believe would need replacing, sorting out the damp problems I hope this is clear enough. I would like quotes for replacing the flashing and repairing the wood gutter in a coupl of points.

I will pay by cheque on completion and require an invoice on completion of work.

The job will need doing in 2 weeks (end April, early May).

Many thanks. Maria

Guttering gap repaired and flashing on the kitchen roof replaced for a good price. Tony ended up doing quite a few other jobs for me at the time. This was in 2009. He is a friendly and helpful guy, and is very reasonably priced. His wife is also very nice to deal with, as she organises all his jobs. He also seems to be better than some plumbers as I was left with a disaster by a plumber who made a mess with some pipes in a bathroom installation, and I only found out too late after paying the said plumber, but Tony came to the rescue and sorted out the problem, again for a very reasonable price. He never asked for money in advance and always waited for the job to be finished completely for payment (cheque and invoices always fine). Also his initial quote never changed despite some minor problems. My two gripes would be his time management skills which were not the best as he was always overbooked and working too hard, and the fact that he has become too popular, and I have not managed to use his services again since (and have had to deal with a terrible builder in the meantime). But he is really good if you manage to get him to come and quote you.
