Fit skirting boards in room + couple of other jobs - Carpentry & Joinery job in Oldham, Lancashire

Job description

I am looking for a joiner to fit skirting boards in my front room. At present there aren’t any as they were removed before I moved in. I’ve uploaded a floor plan here to give you an idea of the layout and sizes:

All sizes are approximate measurements, the winning workman should double check that I’ve got them right.

A – 0.8 m B – 3 m (radiator in place so skirting needs to go behind the pipes leading up to it) C – 3.6 m D – 0.89 m E – 0.49 m F – 1.62 m G – 0.47 m H – 1.56 m I – 2.2 m J – 0.58 m

Total – 15.21m

In addition there is an expansion gap at the front door for the laminate flooring that I’d like covered with beading or similar.

I also need an internal door hanging (below C on the plan - I’ll supply the door – might need planning on the bottom to fit)

In addition there used to be wooden skirting (not sure if this is the right term) round the main doorframe which was removed. I would like this replaced.

If you’d like this job, please give me a quote for the labour and a rough cost for the materials and any price options concerning the types of wood etc….

  • The following information was added Sunday, 22nd March, 2009 : I have been looking online and would like to have georgian style MDF skirtings and architrave fitted. So please bid according to this spec.
