We have recently bought a small terraced house in Streatham Vale. The front room of the house is damp. In early February, Rentokil is carrying out internal work to prevent damp. Rentokil has advised us that we should also lower the ground outside the front of the house so that the outside is no longer higher than the inside (removal of concrete) and install an aqua-channel along the front of the house to enable water to drain away efficiently. It may be necessary to remove a small brick dividing wall in order to lower the ground to the right of the house. Subject to agreeing price, we would like the work to be carried out in April.
