Replace "wet area" downlights with ip rated waterproof - Electrical job in Greenford, Middlesex

Job description

We have a wet area (shower and basin) in a bedroom conversion.

We need to get a building completion certificate as did not realise the original works were not signed off.

A Domestic Visual Inspection Report (as we cant get a copy of the Part P), has recorded that "the 2 downlights in the shower area are not IP rated and should be changed to waterproof type".

We realise that last year, when the bulb went in one, and we could not change it, we replaced the fittings with: Quality MiniSun Mains GU10 Downlight. Round Metal Ceiling Fitting Brushed Chrome Finish. Terminal Box & GU10 Lampholder Supplied. No Transformer Required Measurements - Diameter: 87mm. Cut-Out Hole Diameter: 65mm They lights did not fit in properly, but worked : the holes were a bit big for the fittings we put in :(

We now need the 2 downlights replaced to IP rated waterproof ASAP.

We will then need another inspection down to produce a "clean" inspection report but are assuming we will need to contract that separately on the assumption someone can't " mark their own homework ".

Time is of the essence on this as we are selling the property and need to get the original works signed of asap.

Interest registered quickly, with invitation to discuss.
Explained job and received verbal and vfm quote within an hour.
Firmed up on details, fixed price, and arranged time to start job a few hours later.
Job done next day, on time and in a professional and helpful manner. Also completed a couple of extra jobs needed to enable the report/certificate we needed the work doing for to go through without further follow up / work.
Inspection Report also undertaken, which saved us a separate job listing and delay, and was completed and delivered 24 hours later.
Would highly recommend Harwinder and his workforce and if needed someone in that area again would try RMJ first.
