Renovation of bathroom - Bathroom Fitting job in Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire

Job description

I wish to have a new bathroom suite installed as well as re-plaster, tile and fit new vinyl flooring of a small bathroom in an 1930s end terrace.

I have already purchased the bathroom suite (bath, basin and WC), floor vinyl, taps, 12mm WBP for flooring, tiles and border tiles, wastes etc. Therefore please quote on the basis of labour costs plus materials such as grout and adhesive only.

Room Dimensions - 2.31 m x 1.78 m
Time for completion - 3 to 4 days (approx)
Anticipated budget - £1,000 to £1,500
Completion date - preferably before April 09

Approximate steps:

Remove wall mounted shower (Sector Vista unit)
Removal of existing wall tiles
Removal of existing bathroom suite
Removal of existing skirting
Removal of existing floor boards (10mm boards)

Install 12mm WBP (or alternative if deemed appropriate)
Install Vinyl sheet flooring
Plaster walls
Install skirting
Tile walls (approx 1 metre - 5 tiles - up with border tile between tiles 4 and 5 and tile trim across top)
Tile additional height around shower area
Install bathroom suite, taps and wastes
Reinstall shower unit (wall mounted Sector Vista)
Install two new shower screens (standard wall mounted)

1) the bathroom has suffered from poor ventilation so there is some evidence of damp/mould on the ceiling which may need treatment with prior to plastering

2) the walls are currently covered, top to bottom, in tiles. I have removed some of the tiles for inspection and it appears that some the walls have been plastered before, however to a poor standard. Therefore it maybe appropriate to quote on the basis of plaster from the bare brick.

3) please indicate what experience you have had of undertaking similar projects previously.

Any questions please ask.
