Make up a cement floor 7.5 square metres sw11 - Groundwork & Foundations job in Clapham Junction, South London

Job description

This job is to lay a cement base over a blue plastic damp proof membrane in a cellar that is 6.2 metres long and 1.2 metres wide making that 7.5 square metres. The depth needed is approximately 10 cm thick over the 7.5 square metres. I estimate it’s about 0.8 cubic metres of material needed which is roughly a jumbo bag of sand and about 20 bags of cement I think.

I need it done with waterproofer in the cement in case the membrane gets a hol in it and the membrane needs to be set so it goes up the walls as well. After the cement has dried I plan to baton and plasterboard it. The cellar isn’t that damp but this work is intended to keep it drier than it has been.

The cellar is cleared and all sharp items on the wall or floor have been removed, the steps into the cellar have been removed and it’s ready to go ASAP. I may even be able to do tomorrow if you can bring the materials being mainly the sand and cement, I will likely get the blue sheet this afternoon. I also need fibres in the cement to add cross strength.

The job is just inside the door from the street about 10 metres and on the ground floor in a Victorian house.

It’s a 2 man job that wouldn’t take more than a day start to complete finished and cleared up. A nice little job between other jobs.

It’s in SW11 5EE Sugden Rd, I have a parking card available for the day.

I’m looking for a nice price and start ASAP. I need a receipt.

Feedback for kb paving

Kevin was reliable and friendly as was his workmate.

It was a short notice job which he did well and is clearly a good at screeding.
