The gas Board removed my meter due to a "safety" concern (inlet valve not accessible) and sealed the gas supply after the inlet valve. I am having a new meter fitted by my gas supplier, but they won't connect the meter to the sealed gas supply. I'm told by the Gas Board that I can get that done as long as it's by a gas safe engineer with MET 1 certificate. I'm therefore looking for a gas engineer in the area with this level of certification.
