If you are looking for someone to work very hard, long hours and do what they say they are going to do, then Jon is your man. He had two colleagues with him and they worked 5-6 days a week until they had the project completed.

They reconfigured most of our downstairs for us, knocking down a load-bearing wall, building a stud wall, redoing the downstairs toilet etc. They did pretty much every job - the strip-out and disposal of the old kitchen and fitting a new one, all the building work, plumbing, plastering, painting, tiling, new electrics, laid new flooring etc. (I think the only other companies/services we needed to use were getting a structural engineer's report to bring down the wall and a gas engineer's report.) Jon provided the building regulation certificates at the end.

It was good to have Jon take care of everything from start to finish and that they focused solely on our building job for that month and were not away to work on other projects. He was onsite most days himself with his men working and project-managing everything. We added in some extra smaller jobs as we went along and nothing was too much trouble. He came back willingly to do the snagging at the end.

Jon is very polite, personable, tidy and respectful. Apart from his work ethic, I really appreciated his attention to detail and genuine interest in the project. He takes pride in his work. The communication was excellent. It is like a different house - a great collaboration! Thanks again Jon.
