Hi, I have received a Damp and Timber report from a member of the Property Care Association. I want to get the recommended remedial actions completed. This work needs to come with an Insurance Backed Guarantee. There are two small sections of the property that require treatment, appox 4m in total

We therefore recommend the installation of a new injected chemical damp proof course and the application of a cementitious tanking slurry membrane, to the areas indicated, to help minimise further damp from affecting these subject walls.

To areas marked ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ we recommend applying two coats of cementitious tanking slurry membrane to help prevent further rising/penetrating damp.

Where installing a new dpc/cementitious tanking slurry membrane, plaster should also be ‘hacked off’ the previously plastered walls indicated to a height of 1,000-1,200mm or 300mm above the visual height of the damp line and re-plastered using an approved rendering additive, in strict accordance with the enclosed specification.
