Behind a stud wall across the corner of the room, we have an old chimney that appears to have been partially filled in and closed off at the bottom (supported on cinder blocks). We would like to take away the facade and do enough work on the chimney to open it up again and eventually install a log burner. I would like a fireplace built in reclaimed bricks, inglenook style. I have no idea what the options are and I am open to suggestions
